Mr Phil Trebilcock, a commercial fisherman in Newqauy, tells us why he chose to buy the Isuzu D-Max Yukon form Hawkins Motors Truck and Van Centre at St Stephen.
"My wife Sally and I visited the Hayle Hawkins salesroom, on the recommendation of our son Ben who had recently purchased a Kia Rio from the same salesroom, on that occasion being dealt with by Andy Fairman.
On arrival in the showroom, we were greeted warmly by all staff, but Justin Mallett came out to greet us personally, enquiring if he could help us.
We explained to Justin that we were interested in a 5 door Kia Picanto, after which he meticulously went through our requirements, then features of the different Picanto models.
Justin was honest from the beginning in that he was relatively new at the job and may therefore need to seek support from his more experienced colleagues, which gave both Sally and I a feeling of confidence about both his honesty and his awareness of his own limitations. In actual fact, Justin was very knowledgeable, but on a point he was unsure on he consulted his more experienced colleague Russell Marsden, who provided an answer to the query.
Later, after explaining all of the cash purchase and finance/lease options clearly, he introduced us to Andy Orchard (Business manager) who in detail provided us with numerous clear options.
We decided to purchase and resumed the process with Justin with whom we closed the deal.
The whole experience was not only a very positive, but pleasurable one, which we would certainly recommend to our friends and family!
