The new year is well underway and we can’t believe how much we packed into 2012! In anticipation of yet another busy year, we thought we’d have a little look-back at the past 12 months which have seen fantastic things across the Hawkins Motor Group.
In May, we launched the Peugeot 208 with a VIP evening at Events Square Falmouth to say thank you to loyal customers. Kernow King, Kola and Charlie Wingfield entertained a crowd of hundreds who watched the 208 being unveiled in style. (The pasties also went down well!)
In November, we held various fundraisers for Children In Need including a Zumbathon at Hawkins Penryn, a charity Car Wash held by Hayle and a 50p Facebook campaign by the St Stephen dealership seeing a 50p donation for every new Like on our page.
In June, we celebrated 35 years at the Royal Cornwall Show braving typically unfortunate weather. The rain didn’t dampen spirits as we welcomed customers old and new to our stand. It doesn’t matter if it’s cloud or sunshine, the show has always been and continues to be, a very important date in our calendar!
2012 also saw us welcome three new brands to our portfolio - Great Wall, Mitsubishi and Isuzu - and our newest dealership opened in Launceston. To add to the excitement, Peugeot presented St Stephen, Penryn and Hayle dealerships with its prestigious Guild of Gold Lion Award for our outstanding customer service.

We introduced our ’60 Second Deal’ films to showcase the best deals from across the group presented by our team. We don’t want anyone to miss out on our fantastic offers so we cram 60 seconds with unbeatable deals on new and used vehicles. Keep an eye on our You Tube channel and Facebook to watch the latest films!
We also declared that green is the new black. 2012 saw Hawkins bring electric motoring to Cornwall with the Peugeot iOn, Citroen C-Zero and Mitsubishi i-MiEV. Watching your carbon footprint has never been cooler. When you can drive 80 miles for (approx) £1.90, what’s not to love about electric?

2013 is the year we celebrate our 80th birthday! We are busy planning how we’ll be marking the occasion so stay tuned for yet another, unforgettable year.
