Hawkins Motor Group History

In 1940 the business began to develop, retailing tractors, cars, motorcycles and cycles and in 1946, we became agents for the British motorcycle brands Arial, BSA, Norton, Vincent, Scott and ETS. In 1972 we were appointed main dealers for Peugeot in Cornwall and began to expand beyond St Stephen and across the county.

Today we are Cornwall’s longest established family owned car dealership group with the fourth generation of the Hawkins family now joining the business. We are franchised dealers for new cars and commercial vehicles from 7 major manufacturers: Peugeot, Citroën, DS, Hyundai, Kia, Mitsubishi and Isuzu. We have a group stock of typically over 1,000 used cars and commercial vehicles that are available throughout our dealerships in St Stephen, St Austell, Blackwater Truro, Penryn, Hayle and Launceston.
