The Motability Scheme provides an affordable, all-inclusive package for people with disabilities to lease a car in exchange for their mobility allowance. The Scheme is operated by Motability Operations Ltd, under contract to Motability, a registered charity.

All-inclusive Car Leasing

Apart from fuel, your lease includes everything you’ll need to keep your car running smoothly, so you really can enjoy the all-inclusive package without the hassle of unexpected bills or repairs.

All-inclusive lease with insurance, servicing, maintenance and breakdown cover included.

We negotiate with manufacturers to make sure we’re always offering you the best prices possible.

Payments are automatically taken from your mobility allowance.

Eligibility

To be eligible to join the Motability Scheme, you need to receive one of the following mobility allowances and you must have at least 12 months’ award length remaining. Please note that the Attendance Allowance cannot be used to lease a car through the Scheme.

Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (HRMC DLA)
Enhanced Rate Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (ERMC PIP)
War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)

How to join the scheme

If you are eligible for the Motability Scheme, all you need to do is get in touch to make an appointment with one of our Motability Scheme specialists.

As part of your appointment, we will take you through a Statement of Responsibilities form. This is designed to make sure the car you’re considering, and the Motability Scheme is right for you. Once you have chosen a car, we will complete the application for you online at the dealership. You’ll need to take your Certificate of Entitlement, a recent utility bill, and the driving licences of any drivers to be insured. If your proposed driver is unable to come with you to the dealership, they must complete the Driver Fair Processing Declaration Form which gives DVLA authorisation to check their licence.
