Nissan introduces 2026 ARIYA with enhanced design, comfort and EV technology
Nissan has unveiled the new Nissan ARIYA for model year 2026, enhancing its flagship electric crossover.
Since its launch in 2021, ARIYA has symbolised Nissan's vision for electric mobility, combining strong performance, a smooth and quiet ride, and a spacious, lounge-like interior. The latest model year update builds on these core strengths, delivering a refreshed exterior design, enhanced ride comfort and new features to support everyday electric driving.
Design evolution inspired by timeless Japanese futurism
The 2026 ARIYA evolves Nissan's 'Timeless Japanese Futurism' design philosophy with a redesigned front apperance, creating a cleaner and mre seanless look. The body colour front panel and reinterpreted V-Motion signature give ARIYA a strong yet minimalist presence, reinforcing its confident character as s next-generation electric vehicle.
Newly designed 19-inch wheels, combining aluminium and resin elements, add a refined visual contrast that enhances the ARIYA's premium stance. The exterior colour palette is expanded with a new Plasma Green colour, inspired by natural light phenomena. A range of monotone and two-tone body colours are available.
Inside, a redesigned central console increases the storage space up to 3.2 litres and incorporates the latest generation 15W wireless charger.
Advanced Technologies to enhance electric driving
For 2026, ARIYA is equipped with the latest generation of NissanConnect with Google built-in, offering an enhanced connected experience inside and outside of the car.
Drivers can experience effortless travel with the In-Car Route Planner by Google Maps (available as standard across the line-up). Simply say, "Hey Google, navigate to Edinburgh Castle" and Google Maps automatically plans the most efficient route, integrating any necessary charging stops based on your real-time battery level.
To save time, the car intelligently pre-conditions the battery as you approach a station, ensuring it reaches the optimal temperature for the fastest charge. The dedicated Connectivity app (NissanConnect Services) monitors battery levels, managers charging sessions, adjusts climate settings and tracks tyre pressures directly from your phone.
Charging and power supply
The 2026 Nissan ARIYA offers AC charging via an 11kW bi-directional on-board charger, supporting Vehicle-to-Load (V2L). For DC rapid charging, ARIYA supports speeds of up to 130kW, Enabling efficient long-distance travel and reduced charging times.
The new V2L functionality allows compatible external electric devices to be powered directly from the vehicle via a dedicated connector, providing up to 3kW of output when stationary - to do things like power an electric cooker or charge a laptop.
Refined comfort and driving support
Ride comfort is further enhanced through updated suspension tuning. This delivers imporved stability, reduced vibrations and a smoother driving experience, particularly over long distances. ARIYA also features ProPILOT advanced driver assistance systems including adaptive distance control functions, supporting relaxed driving in stop-start traffic by using assisting acceleration, deceleration and stopping, helping reduce driver fatigue. These technologies have been enhanced to ensure faster response times and better, smoother adjustments.

With its refreshed design, enhanced comfort and intelligent EV technologies, the 2026 Nissan ARIYA adds to its winning combination of confident styling, refined driving performance and everyday usability.
The car will fo on sale from June, with prices starting from £37,000. First deliveries are expected in September.
